Formulas

The Turbine Efficiency Calculator estimates efficiency:

  • Efficiency (\( \eta \)) = \( \frac{P_{out}}{P_{in}} \times 100 \)
  • Where:
    • \( P_{out} \) = Output power (kW)
    • \( P_{in} \) = Input power (kW)

How to Use

  1. Enter the input power (in kW) in the “Input Power” field.
  2. Enter the output power (in kW) in the “Output Power” field.
  3. Optionally, click an adjust button to set typical values (e.g., Low Input).
  4. Click “Calculate Efficiency” to see the estimated turbine efficiency.
  5. Scroll to the “Results” section for details.

Examples

  1. Example 1: Input = 1000kW, Output = 850kW
    Efficiency ≈ 850 / 1000 × 100 = 85%
  2. Example 2: Input = 2000kW, Output = 1800kW
    Efficiency ≈ 1800 / 2000 × 100 = 90%
  3. Example 3: Input = 500kW, Output = 400kW
    Efficiency ≈ 400 / 500 × 100 = 80%
