Calculation Details:

The calculator computes:

  • Current Quality Points: \\(\text{Current GPA} \times \text{Current Credit Hours}\\)
  • New Quality Points: \\(\sum (\text{Grade Points} \times \text{Credit Hours})\\) for new courses
  • Total Credit Hours: \\(\text{Current Credit Hours} + \sum \text{New Credit Hours}\\)
  • New Cumulative GPA: \\(\frac{\text{Current Quality Points} + \text{New Quality Points}}{\text{Total Credit Hours}}\\)

Note: Assumes a 4.0 GPA scale. Consult your institution for specific grading policies.

  • Grade points: A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, C=2.0, C-=1.7, D+=1.3, D=1.0, F=0.0.
