Hall Effect Voltage Calculator
Hall Effect Voltage Calculator computes the Hall voltage across a conductor in a magnetic field. Select the conductor material, input current, magnetic field, and conductor thickness, and calculate the voltage.

How to Use Hall Effect Voltage Calculator:
- Select the conductor material (Copper, Silver, or Gold).
- Enter values for current, magnetic field, and conductor thickness using the keypad or direct input; use “Next” to switch fields.
- Click “Calculate” to see step-by-step results.
- Use “Share Result” to get shareable text or “Copy Result” to copy to clipboard.
Formulas:
Hall Voltage (V_H):
V_H = (I × B) / (q × n × d)
Where: I = current (A), B = magnetic field (T), q = electron charge (1.602×10⁻¹⁹ C), n = charge carrier density (m⁻³), d = conductor thickness (m)
Important Notes:
- Inputs for current, magnetic field, and conductor thickness must be positive. Invalid inputs will trigger an error.
- Charge carrier densities (n) is predefined for each material (Copper: 8.5×10²⁸ m⁻³, Silver/Gold: 5.9×10²⁸ m⁻³).
