  • Ht: Total hours for a task type (hours)
  • N: Number of tasks
  • Ha: Average hours per task (hours)
  • Fc: Complexity factor (Low: 1.0, Medium: 1.5, High: 2.0)
  • Hp: Total project hours (hours)
  • Hb: Contingency buffer (decimal)
  • E: Task completion efficiency (%)
  • S: Project completion confidence score (%)
  • Tmax: Maximum reference hours (500 hours)

Example 1: Small Project, Single Task Type, Low Complexity

Input: Task Types = 1 (Tasks: 10, Hours/Task: 5, Complexity: Low), Contingency Buffer = 20%
