Calculation Details:

The estimator uses Widmark’s formula:

  • Total Alcohol (g): \\(\text{Total Alcohol} = \sum (\text{Number of Drinks}_i \times \text{Alcohol per Drink}_i)\\)
  • BAC (%): \\(\text{BAC} = \frac{\text{Total Alcohol (g)}}{\text{Weight (g)} \times r} \times 100 – 0.015 \times \text{Hours}\\)
  • Widmark Factor (r): Male: 0.68, Female: 0.55
  • Standard Drinks (US): Beer (12 oz, 5%): 14 g, Wine (5 oz, 12%): 14 g, Liquor (1.5 oz, 40%): 14 g

Note: BAC is an estimate. Do not use to determine driving ability; consult a professional.

Important Notes:

  • BAC ≥ 0.08% is the US legal driving limit; ≥ 0.20% indicates severe intoxication.
  • Actual BAC varies by metabolism, food intake, and other factors.

Blood Alcohol Content Estimator

Blood Alcohol Content, or Blood Alcohol Content Estimator, refers to the percentage of alcohol in a person’s bloodstream, and can be measured within 30-70 minutes after drinking. Contrary to popular belief, nothing can lower BAC except time; coffee, cold showers, and chugging glasses of water will not help you sober up any faster.

Curious what your BAC might be? Use our calculator to estimate your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). However, keep in mind that everyone metabolizes beer, wine, and liquor differently. Though our calculator can provide an approximate BAC level, however important to note that you should not rely upon it to determine if you’re fit to drive or work.

Formula Used In Blood Alcohol Content Estimator

Meal Prep Cost Formula

The total cost per meal for meal prepping can be calculated using the following formula:

\\[ \text{Total Meal Prep Cost} = \frac{\text{Ingredient Costs} + \text{Packaging Costs} + \text{Utility Costs} + \text{Labor Costs}}{\text{Number of Meals}} \\]

For a simplified version, excluding labor and utility costs:

\\[ \text{Total Meal Prep Cost} = \frac{\text{Ingredient Costs} + \text{Packaging Costs}}{\text{Number of Meals}} \\]
