Formulas Used
The Collaboration Efficiency Score is calculated using a weighted formula assessing task distribution, team size, communication frequency, and collaboration tools.
- Task-Communication Alignment Score:

Where \\( T \\) is task distribution and \\( C \\) is communication frequency. Averages task allocation and communication to reflect coordination.
- Team-Tools Adjustment Score:
\\[ A_{\text{adj}} = S + \frac{L}{2} \\]
Where \\( S \\) is team size and \\( L \\) is collaboration tools. Adjusts efficiency based on team scale and tool effectiveness.
- Raw Efficiency Score:
\\[ R_{\text{raw}} = w_1 T_{\text{align}} + w_2 A_{\text{adj}} \\]
Where:
- \\( T_{\text{align}} \\): Task-communication alignment score
- \\( A_{\text{adj}} \\): Team-tools adjustment score
- \\( w_1 = 10 \\): Weight for alignment
- \\( w_2 = 5 \\): Weight for adjustment
- Collaboration Efficiency Score:

Normalizes the raw score to 0–100. Ratings: Low (0–25), Moderate (25–50), High (50–75), Excellent (75–100).
- Efficiency Impact Factor:

Estimates productivity loss due to uneven tasks and team size relative to communication and tools. Higher values indicate greater inefficiency.

Example 1: Small Inefficient Team

Calculations:

- Team-Tools Adjustment Score: \\[ 1 + \frac{1}{2} = 1.5 \\]
- Raw Efficiency Score: \\[ 10 \cdot 1 + 5 \cdot 1.5 = 10 + 7.5 = 17.5 \\]
- Collaboration Efficiency Score: \\[ \frac{17.5}{100} \cdot 100 = 17.5 \\]
- Efficiency Impact Factor: \\[ \frac{1 \cdot (5 – 1)}{1 \cdot 1} = 4 \\]
- Rating: Low (0–25)

How to Use the Calculator
Follow these steps to calculate team collaboration efficiency:
- Enter Task Distribution: Rate task allocation evenness (1–5, 1 = uneven, 5 = even).
